I had been watching this box for quite a while, and when my birthday time came, I asked my husband to get it for me. The box is very nice, and the lining a beautiful contrast. The only problem I have with it is the lid will not stay open on it's own. I wasn't sure if this was the design, so I had the customer service dept. send me a replacement box. The lid is the same on both. I will see what can be done to work around the problem, because I do like the look of the product. Maybe a small hinge can be installed, or I could use something to wedge in between the halves when I need it held open.Quality not as expected By Jen
For such an expensive product, I am disappointed in the quality. The lid does not stay open and one of the hinges is lose, but cannot be fixed because of the way the lining is attached inside. Also, it's huge! But that's my fault for not reading the dimensions. I am not returning it because it does work and looks nice, but I was expecting a higher quality item.
